Illegal Drugs can have a serious effect on almost every system in your body, the potential harm they can cause is outlined below.

 

ILLEGAL DRUGS

 

THE BRAIN

Effects : Learning Impairment, Sleeplessness, Addiction & Emotional Problems
Drugs directly affect many parts of the brain, and over time drug abuse can change the brain’s function, turning a voluntary behaviour into a compulsive behaviour which defines addiction.co-ordination and can increase your vulnerability.

THE HEART

Effects : Heart Attack, Stroke, Blood Clots, Heart Damage and Sudden Death. Stimulants can constrict blood vessels and cause the heart to beat irregularly that may lead to sudden death.

THE LUNGS

Effects : Frequent Coughing, Bronchitis and Lung Infections
Smoking marijuana contains many different chemicals, just like tobacco, some of which can damage the lungs. These irritant can cause lung inflammation, phlegm build up, frequent coughing, bronchitis and other lung infections.

THE STOMACH

Effects : Ulcers, Dehydration, Vomiting and a Weakened Immune System
When the stomach walls are damaged they can become vulnerable. This means you can be subject to things like ulcers and perforation of organ walls which can lead to organ failure co-ordination and can increase your vulnerability.
